This course is a solid introduction into Fusion bellydance; perfect for total beginners to dance, those who haven’t danced in a while, if you want to consciously incorporate fusion bellydance into your dance/movement practice, if you want to have fun challenging your body and mind to new movement pathways.
During the course of 5 weeks we will cover:
Cultural contexts of Fusion Bellydance
Basic movement concepts
Style variations
Foundational moves and techniques
By the end of the course you’ll be able to understand and recognise the nuances of Fusion and hopefully fall in love with new ways your body can move to.

During this classes we explore Fusion Belly dance - Transcultural fusion dance, and challenge our creativity and coordination to varied tunes and shapes. All classes are all genders and sizes. If you have any mobility issues let me know beforehand.
In this mixed level class we start from the basics and we explore for a few weeks the nuances, magic and complexities of the style. Includes a good warm up, plenty of drilling and dancing and occasional improvisational time.
Suitable for all levels. Wear comfortable clothing and something around the hips (scarf or belt).
You can book single classes below, pay cash or card, or book via move GB.
*If paying by block, classes must be consecutive weeks. If you have to miss a class please notify within 24 hours, one session can be shifted within the month.

We look at elements of traditional North African and oriental dance moves that are often associated with bellydance, and incorporate other dance styles, in my case primarily contemporary and dark and urban styles.

Clothes comfortable to move in, A scarf or something around the hips helps accentuate some of the moves. We often dance bare foot.

Yes you can! no-one will force you to do anything your body doesn’t want to, work at your own pace and ask for modifications at any point.
Jump studio is fairly accessible as there are no stairs.
